National Criminal Database Search

National Criminal Database Search-

The instant national search is a great tool to start with.This comprehensive criminal search will show felonies, misdemeanors, and sex offenses.  This includes 45 states. This search does not include Colorado, Delaware, Massachusetts, South Dakota or Wyoming. Criminal  searched are available separately i.e. Statewide Instant Search (Colorado only), statewide standard search, and/or a County Criminal Search.

The following is also included with this search:

  • Terrorist Database Search - We check the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) list of specially designated nationals and blocked persons.
  • National Sexual Predator Database Search - We check the sexual predator lists in all 50 states, Washington, DC and Guam.
  • FBI most wanted
  • U.S. Marshals most wanted
  • DEA most wanted
  • ATF most wanted
  • Customs most wanted
  • US Secret Service Most Wanted

Enhanced National Criminal Database Search

A multi-faceted, comprehensive search that combines the National Criminal Search with the known aliases provided from a Social Security Number (SSN) trace. With a name, date of birth and SSN, this report can provide the following information:

  • State residing and the approximate date of issuance for SSN
  • Death Master Index - SSN trace to obtain a list of alias names, including maiden names

The information gathered is then used to make a final pass through our National Criminal Database, which will show felonies, misdemeanors, and sex offenses.

Both the National Criminal Database Search and Enhanced National Criminal Database Search include the following:

  • Terrorist Database Search - check the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) list of specially designated nationals and blocked persons.
  • National Sexual Predator Database Search - reports sexual predator lists in all 50 states, Washington, D.C. and Guam

...in addition to the following Most Wanted Lists:

National Sex Offender Registry Search

Search information directly sourced from the U.S. Department of Justice Sex Offender Database. This option provides a more comprehensive search by accessing information straight from the United States government.

Federal Criminal Database Search

This search includes data from all district courts, bankruptcy courts and circuit courts of appeals. This search provides lists of cases, searched by name or filing date, as well as electronic case summaries and dockets. The United States district courts are the trial courts of the federal court system. The district courts have jurisdiction to hear nearly all categories of federal cases, including both civil and criminal matters. This search is by jurisdiction; each hit produced from a search will provide:

  • Party name
  • Court where the case is filed
  • Case number
  • Filing date

The actual record will give:

  • All party names
  • Date of birth on a criminal record
  • Case number
  • Date case filed
  • Attorney names
  • Docket entries
  • Verdict information

State Criminal Database Search

This instant statewide database search includes:

  • History of felonies
  • Misdemeanors
  • State police arrest records
  • Suspended sentences
  • Dismissals
  • Probation
  • Incarceration records
  • Pre-trial intervention

Note: This search is available for 47 states (not included: WY, SD, MA) and covers a minimum 7-year period.

County Criminal Database Search

The most up-to-date search available, the county courthouse search accesses courthouse records, which are updated as criminals are booked. This search goes back seven years for any misdemeanors and felony records, and includes:

  • Date filed
  • Charges
  • Level of charges
  • Disposition date
  • Final disposition

Note: County searches are available for every county in the United States (more than 3,000), and results are typically returned within two business days.

Motor Vehicle Check

With access to motor vehicle records from all 50 states, Washington D.C., Canada and Puerto Rico, the motor vehicle check will provide information for the past three to seven years, and includes:

  • Driver’s license status

Credit Report

Social Security Verification

This enhanced tool reveals all names associated with a Social Security Number, past and present addresses, year and state of issuance, past employment and even validates the SSN, enabling employers to identify whether a SSN exists with the Social Security Administration (SSA) database, and if the SSN is still valid and belongs to your applicant.

Wants & Warrants

Contains information from a variety of sources including:

  • International - Interpol, Royal Canadian Mounted Police
  • Federal - Drug Enforcement Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Marshall Service
  • State - Departments of Correction, Probation and Parole Boards, Attorney Generals, state law enforcement departments
  • County - Municipal Courts, District Courts, Justices of the Peace, County Sheriffs, District Attorneys
  • City - City Police, City Courts - The types of warrants contained in this database range from misdemeanor warrants for bad checks, traffic violations, failures to appear, and unpaid fines to felony warrants for parole or probation violations, robbery, rape, forgery, kidnapping and murder.

Employment Verification

Verify current and past work history, including:

Choice Screening searches the Cumulative Sanction Report and Debarred Contractors List from the General Services Administration (GSA).

Workers' Compensation History

Avoid unnecessary claims by identifying employees who are at risk for re-injury, or habitual claim filers. This search identifies workers’ compensation claims against an applicant’s past employers, up to the last five events, and can include:

  • Dates of injury
  • Body parts injured
  • Type of injury
  • All party information (including lien claimants)

Note: A workers’ compensation search is a statewide search available in most states. This search must be conducted post-offer.

Civil Criminal Records

Civil court searches can be conducted on a county or federal level to identify applicants who possess a past civil record. Records can be identified for the past five, seven or ten years.
